Just Plane Fun
Join the excitement of special activities, make-and-takes, and a guided museum tour designed just for 4- and 5-year-olds.

The Wright Path
Explore the scientific processes the Wrights used to improve their 1900, '01 and '02 gliders and to create their 1903 Flyer. Inspect the museum’s collection of full-size reproductions of Wright brothers aircraft and find out how they operated. Get involved in an interactive presentation on the forces of flight. Tour the Aviation Museum. This 90-minute program is ideal for students in grades 3–12.

Balloons and the Civil War in Virginia
Travel to the time of the Civil War and discover how balloons were used to gather information about the opponent's position. This interesting 45-minute PowerPoint® presentation is a great addition to the study of Virginia history and is ideal for students in grades 3–12.

How Fast is Mach 1?
Explore the fascinating world of high-speed flight. Designed for middle and high school students, this 30- to 45-minute PowerPoint® program includes a tour of the museum’s Mach 3+ SR-71 Blackbird, the fastest manned jet ever built.

Paper Airplane Workshop
Learn to fold and fly the basic delta dart plus a few of the more complicated aerodynamic designs. This 90-minute activity is recommended for students in third-grade and up.

Fees
$6.00 per child. Includes museum admission. Chaperons are required and admitted free. Additional adults are $6.00 each.
